JOSEPH

JOSEPH reclaims its role as a curator of style. Respected as a contemporary designer brand, JOSEPH offers an essential framework of luxury essentials, the pant, the sweater, the blouse and more are established as new and modern classics. Over the past few seasons Creative Director Louise Trotter has also explored the nuances of personality through the men’s and women’s collections. An intimate level of detail marks each critically-acclaimed season, shown during London Fashion Week & London Collections: Men. The codes of the house are deconstructed, personalized, twisted. Just as its stores were places to meet and share ideas, attracting designers, models, editors and photographers, JOSEPH—the label, the brand—is once again a focus for creativity, somewhere to find inspiration. JOSEPH will continue to define the style of the coming decades just as it did so powerfully in the past.

MYKKE HOFMANN

The story of Mykke Hofmann is first of all the story of a long-lasting friendship between Sedina Halilovic and Jelena Hofmann – two women who met at high school and discovered they had more in common than their Balkan origins and their life embracing temper.
We believe in the power of being subtly striking. More precisely, we believe in the subtly striking power of femininity. We embrace natural, flowing materials, an alluringly feminine style, intricate details and women with attitude. We believe in the magic that happens when a woman wears clothes that put her on a stage, without making her feel dressed up. We believe that intellect, strength and independence do not interfere with the soft, beautiful and sensitive side of women. In fact, the combination of those two poles is meant to rule the world.
Slow fashion with designs and products that are fully followed up internally and support craftsmanship. We care about people and the one world we have. Which is why we are very proud to run an own production site in Serbia, creating job opportunities and making sure workers are treated and paid fairly. We maintain long-lasting relationships with our trusted regional suppliers, constantly review our resource consumption balance and offer our customers delivery solutions that will minimize waste.

Fall/Winter 2019 makes way for the contemporary nomad, inspired by a new wave of deconstructed design. Focusing on a multicultural approach, the collection comprises of elements arising from varied ethnicities and eras: an unusual mix of structure from the 1980’s, femininity from the 50’s and a flash of 20’s romanticism. A delicious autumnal palette amalgamates with vibrant floral prints for a sublime mix of pop and romanticism. Macro stitch details with an eclectic patchwork of print enhance textures. A mix of materials, from crushed velvets to custom made jersey along with leather, shearling and foiled python bring sophistication to street wear. It’s a new era; a disruptive moment to break the status quo and give street wear a couture touch with all-over embellishment, hand-crafted embroideries, applique, sequins and innovative fabrics. ANDERS ARENS

Anders Arens is a French brand that all started with Pierre Untas, a designer from Biarritz. He came up with the idea of a luxury craftsmanship brand, one that is both responsible and local and that would reinvent the French know-how. Pierre fell in love with linen and its unrivalled ecological and qualitative properties. Linen grows in the northern part of France where the weather conditions are ideal for it to be cultivated as it does not require any irrigation. Moreover, the harvesting and processing processes prevent any waste and leave a light environmental footprint. That’s how Anders Arens’ unique style, a mix of Scandinavian, German and French roots, was born. It is all about blending the minimalism of the garment’s cut, the simplicity of the colors and the subtle details.

CHARO RUIZ

To claim the femininity of the woman is our main target, a common purpose with women from all around the world, After three decades evoking the freedom of the sixties and seventies thought garments based on white dresses, A-silhouette maxi skirts, unique volumes, Bardot neck, and deconstructed pieces, we have created iconic path. Asserting freedom and femininity in each design since 1989 Natural fabrics, cotton voile, embroidery, and our characteristic laces and transparency finish make Charo Ruiz recognizable while keeping the very beginning essence of freedom. Our main task is to work with the purest Ibiza references pointing out our cultural legacy so that we can create memorable pieces that live as long as the good memories of this eternal and idyllic island. Charo Ruiz; daughter and granddaughter of dressmakers who grew up in her native Seville among fabrics and patterns. She began her own career in the industry as a model in Barcelona during the late seventies, afterwards she settle in Ibiza to create her own workshop and showroom on the island with the idea of renewing the concept of Fashion Made In Ibiza. The project that Charo unpretentiously initiated is currently an independent family owned company primarily run by her daughter and son Paloma and Pablo, giving a fresher perspective to the business but respecting the DNA of the house. AISTHAET

After an initial chapter establishing the conceptual and “anti-stylistic” foundation of the brand, Ludovic Alban is expanding this permanent dialogue between classic and modern. Without opposing them, he is working on establishing a relevant synthesis by transgressing certain rules in cutting and in the search for materials through a merging of sportswear and outerwear, craftsmanship and ready-to-wear.
The more focused Aisthaet’s concept becomes, the more the expression “wearing your leathers” makes sense. Your leather, your own leather, a sustainable, desirable and customizable incarnation, because it is now available in Made To Order, thanks to highly responsive Parisian workshops.
Another dual achievement is the fact that Ludovic, being deeply concerned with the environment and sustainable development, was adamant about working with a particularly virtuous Tuscan tannery. The result brings another advantage, namely that both the biker and the trench coat made in this Gommeux calf leather are now much more affordable.
These factors have all meshed and led Ludovic to producing these images on static models. Every Aisthaet garment becomes a leather sculpture on natural or lacquered wood. Photographed at the Studio Vosges, which is haunted by the work of Mathias Kiss, the staging is unsettled by a subtle feminine presence, playing with reflections in wrinkled mirror shards as it does in the eyes of the most enlightened minds.

To date, the brand has launched collections with indigenous women of the Kuna ethnicity, who work with molas (textiles made through ancestral applied embroidery techniques), and with Embera Chami indigenous women who work with crystal beads embroidery. Each embroidery and artisanal piece made by these communities has an ancestral legacy, and a special meaning related to their cosmogony and traditional beliefs.
We mix artisanal techniques of indigenous communities with handmade goldsmith pieces individually handmade, mostly in 18K gold-plated copper or sterling silver. The brand launches a new collection once every year, with several capsule collections (approximately 4) throughout the year. This allows us to always develop new products with the same theme.
Our customers appreciate sustainable fashion with social conscience, they love to travel and learn about different cultures around the world. SOULIERS MARTINEZ

Julien Martinez is a French shoe designer of Spanish origin. He has been collaborating with French and international brands, including the French brand Carel. In 2017, he launched his own shoe brand. He has always wanted to put traditional crafts at the heart of the creation process. The hand lacing, combined with a strict selection of leatherwear, serves to make exceptionally comfortable, well-fitting shoes and a completely unique product. All his shoes are hand laced, assembled and finished in Spain. It is a resolute approach to support local production on the human scale and to perpetuate arts and crafts techniques.
